I bought A54 on Christmas, and everything was working perfectly, especially the audio as I purchased the original headphones from Samsung.
Around three weeks ago during a walk, my headphones randomly started to get a distorted sound. There would be crackling and the music would be completely distorted, I can hear the music but the sound is extremely awful. Whenever I pause the song and resume, it's still there, but when I change the song to the next one and go back, everything is perfect for some time and it just repeats
This is completely random, sometimes It can go the whole day without an issue but sometimes it would start 5 minutes into listening, sometimes after 40 minutes. I sent the headphones to the authorized service of Samsung, and they gave it back with a reply ''The product works as intended'' and that they couldn't replicate the distortion I've been experiencing. I do not think it's related to Poweramp since my wife uses the default Samsung music player. She has to unplug and replug each time it happens. I asked her about it now and she says she doesn't think it happens in YouTube but isn't sure. She said that yesterday it happened in the music player and as I was calling her and she answered, the sound suddenly became clear. So, something in the One UI software is causing this. I don't believe this is hardware related. I wonder if other recent Samsung phones also have this issue.

Odds are it is indeed a software issue. It didn't happen for a few months then it came back, and these adapters cost money and I hate Bluetooth headphones or else I would've switched.
It triggers randomly you can't exactly pinpoint why it happens.
Heard this happened on the S22 Ultra, and saw few reports on it happening on the S23, A53, A55. So definitely something is wrong...

Having the same problem with my A35. The sound distortion is completely random too. Sometimes it happens every 5 minutes or so, and sometimes it doesn’t show up for a couple of days. The weirdest thing is that when the sound distortion starts while watching YouTube, turning the phone from landscape to portrait mode (or vice versa) fixes it for a while.
