Updated my phone through the auto update, and installed. Now, I can't use any feature that requires connection to my mobile network.
I've done a complete reset. Done them all.
Do I wait for the next update, or do I need to get a new phone?

I am having the same issue and nothing seems to work. I cannot make or recieve calls or use mobile data. I got a replacement sim from my network provider and nothing changed. Sim works perfectly in other phones. My husband has the same phone on the same network with no issues whatsoever. The only difference is he didn't install the update.
Did you find a solution or did you have to get a new phone?

Hi everyone,
the phone of my son has the same issue. It started after the OTA update in October (A536BXXSCEXIA). After that just sporacdic connections. We tried network reset, full reset but nothing really helped. From time to time it connects (SIM ist working fine in another mobil and another SIM is also not working in his mobil).
Sometimes it helps to swith from 5G/4G/3G setting to 4G/3G settings but just shortly. It is really strange but I think that Samsung did not good with the update in October because before that everything worked fine.
I hoped that it would get better with newer updates but untill now (December update just installed), nothing helped. I think if there will be no solution in January latest, I will turn my back to Samsung. So please Samsung read here an help...

Exactly the same problem here, is Samsung really taking this problem seriously? When roaming, data service disconnects automatically after a few minutes. Changing network type helps but then again it disconnects. I tried on another phone, any it works fine with the same sim card, same operator. I captured the perfetto traces which clearly show a disconnection from the phone so it has to be a phone issue!

Same issue with update from October 2024. Have to switch 5G/2G off and on to get temporary connection. Calls cut out like it's connected to wifi calling and I don't have home internet. I've contacted cell provider and Samsung multiple times since October but no luck. Samsung said I should buy a new phone, but my A53 is only 2 years old. Cell provider said try a different provider. I can't do the latest update because it won't stay connected and I don't have wifi. I can't even call or text 911 in case of emergency. I had to turn on my 10 year old phone just to be able to make calls.
a month ago
1 year since my a53 5g version, mobile network dosent work (after software update), tried everything changed sims, factory reset, nothing works. Samsung doesn't care about it's clients.
