[01/06 EDIT AT THE BOTTOM]

Hi!

So I just got the A53 5G  phone yesterday and today when I opened the selfie camera it just looked wrong.

People are extremely orange and the saturation is low and dull.

I've tried all the display settings I can but nothing seems to help. Phone is on vivid as well.

Are there any others experiencing the same?

Please help. Thank you!

[EDIT : So unfortunately i got no help with this issue. Got told to play with filters or wait for maybe am eventual update. The selfie camera is worse than my Huawei from 2020 and now I'm stuck paying for this phone that I ended up giving to a family member. Unfortunately seems like samsung quality is going down and I won't recommend getting one in the future.]

My 5 year old Sony had a significantly better camera and felt built better as well as better IP rating and headphones jack socket. I recommend I needed a phone immediately due to a bad repair on my old phone....you'd hope if samsung want to keep customers they'll release a software update to make the camera usable

Yesterday i bought one (A53) & having the same issue. When i'm using it home the front camera captures for Reddish skin tone which isn't great. Samsung needs to fix this on almost every device. A update will be enough for this. i hope Samsung will take proper action.

It's really frustrating, phones aren't exactly cheap and then the quality is subpar. If they don't sort it out, people really are going to switch over to iPhone or other! Cameras generally are a high "want" on people's criteria when looking for a phone, especially given the competition out there. Samsung, sort it out!

It really is frustrating and shocking that not a single review said how bad the camera is, makes you wonder how independent the reviews are... I wish I could afford to bin it and get the Sony phone when it's launched. I cannot understand why Samsung has such a large market share

Hi I am getting the same problem. The main camera casts a yellow/orange cast to all photos. Using the "pro" settings and adjusting the White Balance do not help.

This is unfortunate, as i also purchased this phone based on the reviews. My ancient Huawei P20 lite takes better pictures!

Hi, @Moonbeann . I appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention, and I know that our developers can investigate this further. If an issue is found, it'll typically be resolved in a future software update. This is why we truly value this type of feedback.

I'd encourage you to complete an Error Report, if you haven't done so already:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-use-the-samsung-members-app/

Please ensure that ‘Send System Log Data’ is enabled as this will allow our engineers to review the source code of your A53 and provide the most relevant troubleshooting steps and solutions.

The Error Report is an excellent method of ensuring any issues are flagged and fully investigated with great specificity.

Please let us know how you get on. 👍
