I keep trying to turn the flash on to take photos indoors but it won't stay on long enough for me to take a snapshot? I am getting seriously peeved with this phone! Facial recognition hardly ever works either 😞

@oldfogey: Please be aware that the flash option is not available in all camera modes and aspects, such as 3:4 50MP. To ensure that the camera is set up to flash each time you take a picture, please choose an aspect ratio such as the standard 3:4, then select the lightning bolt. The bolt with a line through it means that the flash is turned off, while the bolt with an 'A' next to means that Automatic flash is enabled, which will only activate in low light conditions.

Thanks 😀 I had to speak to a Samsung Tech advisor yesterday (groan groan) and she told me how to do it. But to my mind, the yellow flash symbol still looks like the flash is on and the flash symbol with the A next to it looks like the flash is set to automatic. Tried to take a screenshot but couldn't ho-hum 😟

Thanks. It's not very good that you can't choose to use the flash whatever the light conditions are though, is it? I could on my old Galaxy J5. Yet another thing I have to accept or reject the phone.
