A14 5G One UI v6.1 update disables mobile phone

Purchased new Samsung Galaxy A14 G5 128GB on 05 January 2024. 

The One UI v6.1 automatic update arrived on 04 June 2024. User has to trust that S24 update is also good for my Samsung A14 G5. 

However, after installation of update, mobile phone is locked on "Welcome to One UI 6.1 Explore" with no option to return to main menu. The "Set up later in Settings" link does not work. Both Power Off and Reset fail to restore main menu. Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is now a useless disabled brick.  

Is there a fix for this bad Samsung update? 

Try Restart in safe mode.  Wipe phone cache.  In no particular order, hold volume up and down till it restarts. This fix does not work. 

How does novice user roll back to version 6.0 to get mobile phone working again? Do I need to get a new phone?

Hey there and welcome to the Forum.

Sorry to hear of the troubles you are having. Sadly I have to advise rolling back isn't an option without using odin and risking bricking the device entirely. Not for the novice.

Your device is in warranty so I would either:

1. Perform a Factory Data Reset
2. Book a repair
3. Take the device to a Samsung Excellence Centre if you are near one

Hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

Solution: Use laptop to create Samsung Account. Search YouTube and look at  "How To Turn Off Samsung Account Two-step Verification". Samsung Galaxy A14 5G mobile phone is now working again.
