I would like to vent my utter frustration at Samsung for all the "quiet" changes they made to some of the side button and screen top down swipe menu functions in there most recent One UI software update, (version 7) on my Samsung A33 Mobile Phone.
I was at a theatre watching a play and found myself unable to put my Samsung A33 phone into "Airplane " do not disturb mode, or, even turn my phone off. ......who is this Bixby fellow when I press & hold my on - off button ??
As a result I suffered the embarrassment of my phone breaking the silence in the audience with text alerts, diary reminders & incoming phone call sounds going off during the whole performance.
So..... have the following satirical message for those responsible at Samsung:-
"In the cycle of update, the glyphs of control were scattered. The swipe, once sacred, now lost. Restore the path, lest the users drift into the void of confusion"

You can put your phone in aeroplane mode on the quick panel, you can also turn off notifications or turn the volume on your phone down. There are other ways of making your phone quiet.

It would be nice if Samsung told us about the changes. However, in business, there is no nice.
Small print will say that Samsung have the right to alter, add or remove functionality as the deem necessary.
Nowadays you DO NOT own anything. You only pay for the right to use something. That right can be removed at any time.

Samsung do tell you about the changes. There's a full list of all of the changes for every OS update, and you don't have to update if you don't want.
