Samsung Data Migration and external m2 usb enclosure

Laptop is a vaio pro with failing Samsung XP941 SSD. I would like to use the Samsung data migration tool to migrate to my spare Samsung 950 Pro SSD. 

For this, the new SDD will be placed in a usb enclosure.

Will the Samsung Data Migration tool recognise the target SDD as Samsung and work - or does it depend on the enclosure used?

I.e. I am looking for advice on which enclosures are known to work with the software.

Do it the other way round put the newer SSD into the laptop, the re-branded Acronis should work with any USB enclosure. I have 3 different branded ones of different USB generations and ages, they all work fine with it.

I read that the Samsung tool was very good at copying the existing complete system to the target SSD.

This save me lengthy reinstalls, including the OS (W10). Does acronis do this too?

the Samsung tool is a cut down version of Acronis True Image, so yes Acronis would do that and much more besides
