Hi everybody

I bought an Odyssey G7 and received my Xbox Series S.

Apparently there is no HDR compatibility, because in the Xbox settings the HDR calibration tells me my screen is not compatible with HDR...

I've updated my G7 with the latest firmware (1009.3) but it doesn't change anything.

Is there a specific setting on the monitor ?

Thanks :smiling-face:

farcry 5 has a special hdr mode for freesync, but it seems the two things just dont play well together for some reason

Do you run Far Cry on xbox series x/s or PC?, because that's what I'm having the problem with. Tha ks for the advice though. I'll have to give that a try tomorrow

I run it on PC but I think the implementation will be the same, or roughly the same, as pretty much all HDR settings are handled in game and on the monitor on PC as well. hope it works tho!

Nah see that's the problem. You play on pc, where I've been told this monitor doesn't have this problem with hdr. When on xbox, the moment you put it in hdr mode, it immediately goes very dim, even with full brightness and proper hdr calibration, and that's before I even load up a game. Maybe it's just the monitor's hdr ain't built for console, I don't know, but thanks for the advice anyways

from my experience most HDR games just do not work well, theres always some weird problems, and the dimming and washing i had huuuge issues with for Battlefront 2, Borderlands 3, GOW and some others, to my knowledge the only game ive actually seen that was consistently working in HDR was Farcry, i dont think the tech is being taken on in a big way just yet, the monitors have existed for ages, but devs just arent that into HDR, so even when it is put in, its not super flexible
