So My laptop is having display issues that are making it virtually unusable as my display is only at an acceptable level with HDR off and the charger plugged in. It is usable with HDR on but the contrast is so far out that I am not even able to watch a YouTube video without it looking ridiculous, the picture really doesn't do the colour issue justice. When I have HDR off with no charger the laptop is just unusable. I used to get this issue when trying to play Minecraft java in full screen but there were work arounds, now it is affecting the desktop it appears there is nothing I can do as none of the graphics or display setting are changing the issue.

A couple of days ago the issue was just that what HDR on looks like now would only look like that when charging. Since I tried toggling HDR off and back on again it is stuck like that. and the display only looks correct when HDR is off with the charger plugged in.

HDR off, ChargingHDR off, ChargingHDR onHDR onHDR off, not charging.HDR off, not charging.

Do not send it back to samsung repairs their 48 hour inspection takes a month and they will blame you for it all , nothing is covered under warranty and if its a fire risk then that is down to whatever youre doing on the device not the manufacturer apparently . Our laptop got so hot it was leaving red marks on my little girl and all they did was say we shouldnt be holding it , even though its a tablet / laptop

I have had the same issue, have you managed to find a fix for it yet? Or did you end up returning it?

Backed up what I could to a memory stick and hit it with a factory reset. Fixed the issue and no further issues so far. Just a little bit annoying having to factory reset.

Yeah luckily mine was quite new so didn't have any important documents on the laptop or many apps installed so just did a reset now.
Seems to be fixed for me aswell thankfully, not sure what caused it though so hopefully doesn't happen again.

I've had mine for 6 months, hardly been used. Went to do an update but the screen wouldn't work, tried trouble shooting. Took to currys they sent it off, no damage when at shop but came back with a cracked screen and a dent. Currys sent it back to their repairers and this time they sent it back completely TRASHED with more dents on the screen lid. They are denying the damage now I have to take matters further, eg court to get it resolved . I'm fuming

Experiencing similar, mine only occurs when on charge. off charge, the screen is excellent. I do not know what to do.  I initially thought it was a charger issue, but I tried to change it multiple times and still had the same issue.  What do I do?
