SAMSUNG Galaxy Book3 360 15.6" 2 in 1 Laptop purchased from Currys and delivered 1 August 2023.
Opened laptop screen at the weekend and turned on to be greeted with a hairline crack all the way from beside the camera downwards (not a straight line). The laptop has not been damaged or dropped.
Discussed with Currys who have pushed me to Samsung and Samsung are pushing ‘product damage’ which is not covered under warranty. I find it absurd that this is happening quite a lot from a quick Google search of ‘galaxy book screen crack’ and product damaged is pushed onto the consumer.
Has anyone had this happen and successfully got the laptop screen repaired by Samsung at no cost to the consumer?

Hi all! I am back! I am still trying to sort this out!
at the moment seems that even taking the ombudsman complaint route does not solve the issue I am waiting for a final decision but basically, I have already been told that unfortunately there is not enough evidence to prove that this is not physical damage and therefore the outcome cannot be in my favour. I am a bit lost as I am not denying that there is physical damage I am trying to claim when this physical damage has happened and why. The majority of you as myself know that we did not mistreat the laptop which could reasonably result in physical damage. To me clearly is a design fault model, therefore, I am asking if anyone wants to start a group court action against Samsung instead or wants to pursue legal advice, please let me know if you are already doing it because I am 100% in

It’s clearly the right moment as Samsung is one of the main sponsors for the Summer Olympic Games here in Paris…where are the Olympic values here ? How do we start ?

I never did anything like this so I thought that first step will be just gathering around people first and then act like contacting a lawyer etc...
I think now what is important is find who is interested to pursue a legal action

I have same issue screen cracked and it's Samsung fault making such a weak screen. I have encountered same customer care says it's physical damage however it's not a physical damage.

Looks like good news for those who bought from Currys!:

It is important to have journalistic articles like this; they lend more credibility to our situation, which is the same for hundreds or thousands of Samsung consumers. It is alarming that this same situation of neglect by Samsung towards its customers, accusing us of lying and concealing defects in their notebooks, is a global issue. The same situation exists here in Brazil, the USA, England, various Latin American countries, and likely worldwide.

I am from US, and I have the same problem – a cracked screen. Our tech support also lies, blaming the users for it. Due to the dishonest behavior of their laptop division, I will never buy their lousy laptops and phones again. I chose an LG TV instead of their joke of a product. I actively discourage my circle from buying this cr*ppy tech and regularly leave negative reviews about their refrigerators – which, by the way, are also garbage. I hope this giant with feet of clay will soon be pushed out of our market. I really hope that those responsible for laptop support will face deserved punishment, though it will be very difficult to regain lost ground after such a mess. They have just burned millions spent on advertising.

The screen of my Galaxy Book3 360 cracked today while it was sitting on my desk at work. I did not notice anything, until I took it out of the case (Slim Pouch) again after lunch and noticed a few hairline cracks going from the right to the left/top of the screen.
I have been very careful with all my devices especially this laptop since it indeed seemed fragile after I bought it, but the way this just happened does seem like a manufacturing defect or some weakness in the glass that shouldn't be there for a flagship product that cost at least €1200!
Reading everybody else's cases on here and many other forums and platforms it seems like Samsung is not willing to acknowledge the problem, but still I have made an appointment with the official Samsung Repair Center here in Amsterdam to see what they have to say.
Will keep you guys updated.

There seem to be a US law firm that was looking into the question. I messaged them but no reply, probably because I am UK based. You should google them and get in touch.
