SAMSUNG Galaxy Book3 360 15.6" 2 in 1 Laptop purchased from Currys and delivered 1 August 2023.

Opened laptop screen at the weekend and turned on to be greeted with a hairline crack all the way from beside the camera downwards (not a straight line). The laptop has not been damaged or dropped.

Discussed with Currys who have pushed me to Samsung and Samsung are pushing ‘product damage’ which is not covered under warranty. I find it absurd that this is happening quite a lot from a quick Google search of ‘galaxy book screen crack’ and product damaged is pushed onto the consumer.

Has anyone had this happen and successfully got the laptop screen repaired by Samsung at no cost to the consumer?

The same thing happened to me. I don't travel with my laptop. If it's not in my home office it's in my kitchen. No one has dropped it. I opened my laptop one day and there it was, several cracks from the camera on down. Also, no one seems to be able to fix it. Why have I paid so much for a computer that can not be fixed?

The problem appears to be pervasive enough that a law firm in Pennsylvania is collecting information from individuals who have experienced cracked screens on Samsung laptops. I just happened onto it while researching the cracked screen issue.

I was about to buy a Galaxy Pro 360 this Labor Day weekend and have decided to pass after reading about this . Shame on Samsung!

Currently having this issue. I bought the laptop only 3 months ago. It's been sat on my side in my flat. I opened it to try and get oasis tickets to notice the hairline crack. Rang up customer service after reading this forum and they said take it to Currys for a repair. Took it to Currys immediately who said they may not repair it but they'll send it off. They said they'd fight the claim for me. Once at the repair centre it says online that they will ring up and explain why they can't fix it. They didn't it just said repair complete so I got excited that it had been fixed. Currys store rang me this morning to say it's ready for collection unfortunately they've not fixed it. I said that's strange as I was told the above. They said well I can contact customer services but there's nothing more they can do. I have separate insurance in the laptop it's £80 + I have to pay postage and packaging which will be a lot! I know time is of the essence but I've just had surgery and I'm in not fit state to go into store to argue my case at least for a month. I'm also ADHD/tism so this ***** stresses me out but my sense of justice is super strong and I want to get this sorted as it's a lot of money! I've 3 months left to pay it on creation too. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Hello,

I wanted to share my experience with my Galaxy Book3 360, as I've encountered an issue with the screen cracking spontaneously. I purchased the laptop on  nov, 2023, and it’s been used very carefully under normal conditions. Despite this, a crack appeared on the upper part of the screen without any impact or mishandling. Over time, the crack has spread, and after taking it to an authorized service center, a second crack appeared at the bottom of the screen.

I’ve done some research and discovered that other users have reported similar issues with their Galaxy Book screens, suggesting this could be a common defect. Unfortunately, Samsung has not recognized this as a warranty issue, leaving me with a costly repair option, which is around a third of the device’s value.

I am sharing my case here in the hopes that Samsung will consider these recurring issues and offer a solution, as well as to see if others in the community have experienced the same.

Thank you.
