SAMSUNG Galaxy Book3 360 15.6" 2 in 1 Laptop purchased from Currys and delivered 1 August 2023.

Opened laptop screen at the weekend and turned on to be greeted with a hairline crack all the way from beside the camera downwards (not a straight line). The laptop has not been damaged or dropped.

Discussed with Currys who have pushed me to Samsung and Samsung are pushing ‘product damage’ which is not covered under warranty. I find it absurd that this is happening quite a lot from a quick Google search of ‘galaxy book screen crack’ and product damaged is pushed onto the consumer.

Has anyone had this happen and successfully got the laptop screen repaired by Samsung at no cost to the consumer?

I have the same problem too!!  Purchased Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 in January 2024, As like many others a crack has now appeared at the bottom right corner of the Screen?? The laptop sits on my desk and isn't moved from day to day. It was like it happened when the laptop was closed over night?? Really confused as its well looked after and only used by me. I have the Dynamic AMOLED2X Screen. I haven't spoken to Currys or Samsung yet, and I'm not looking forward to it. Very Strange, It has got to be a design fault? I have never used the laptop in 360 mode either. Wish me luck!

I have a theory that it is the processor sticker on the keyboard that causes the cracks. Mine is centred exactly on the corner of the sticker. I have now removed the sticker. Does anyone else have the crack centred on the sticker? My recommendation is the remove the sticker and maybe add those little rubber domes used to make cupboard door close quietly.

This is a very imaginative theory! I will check now to see if that is the case with our machines.

Samsung have until tomorrow to provide a response to my snall claims action (initiated 13 days ago).

I will keep y'all posted on my progress.

I went to the Samsung Repair Center in Amsterdam and as expected they told me the damage is not covered by the warranty and the repair costs would be around €379!

I explained the situation and how the screen seemingly cracked just by sitting on my desk and the employee kindly helped me with filing a complaint. He made pictures of the laptop and screen, noted the problem and added some of my personal info while I sat beside him. The way he explained it was that the complaint would be sent over to a different department that handles these and I would get a call or email the day after.

Two weeks later and I still hadn't received anything about the complaint, no call or email. The Samsung Repair Center does not have a phone number online and all I could find was the general customer service number or WhatsApp. I tried contacting both about the status and they each told me they don't have access to the complaint because they are a different department as well.

In the end it came to the conclusion that I would have to make another appointment back at the Samsung Repair Center just to ask if something might have gone wrong or whether the complaint was even filed at all.

So long story short I personally went to Samsung, supposedly filed a complaint, did not get a reply, could not find any contact information on the people that helped me, got sent from one "department" to the other and ended up back where I started.

I'm not sure if Samsung is consciously ignoring the problem or if they're just being overloaded with complaints but this isn't a good look, and to be honest I don't think going back to the Repair Center is going to make any difference for me.

Is the crack centred on the CPU label on the keyboard? Mine is, and I suspect the label is causing the cracks.

Discovered my screen cracked yesterday, no clue how it happened. I've never broken a screen before.
