Audio & VideoHi new to forum with this post.
I bought a hwq80 soundbar 7 months ago with a view to adding rear speakers later.
I have since decorated my lounge wallpaper of course leaving the wires poking out of the walls.
ready to purchase the only rear speakers i am aware of that works with the soundbar only to find out they are discontinued. Are there any other options for rear speakers fitted to wall for this soundbar.
Thanks in advance

Audio & Video@sopranodave: I see what you mean. The user manual doesn't have any alternative suggestions for the rear speakers, unfortunately. I will pass this on to our AV Specialists, and will get back to you with any feedback they provide.

Audio & VideoI have the same issue. Bought the HW-Q80R with a view to adding the rear speakers later. I now feel a bit cheated as I could have waited until I could afford the Q90.

Audio & VideoDid this query get resolved? I too would like to see if an alternative rear speaker set up is available, even if it is hard wired.

Audio & VideoI have just spent ages on 'live chat' with a Samsung 'specialist' who obviously has no idea on what is actually going on. He keeps saying the SWA-9000S speakers are currently 'out of stock' and he cannot tell me when they will be in stock. Told him that there is evidence that Samsung have discontinued these (to force people to buy the Q90 series instead?) and he had no answer. I am seriously thinking of taking Samsung to a small-claims court for misrepresentation. They are STILL advertising their Q80 series soundbars as having this facility - this is from their website (UK) today:
Absolutely furious with them for this sneaky and underhand way of trying to force sales of their ludicrously priced Q90 series soundbar. Will never buy Samsung products again.

Audio & VideoI did get a notification that the swa-9000s was back in stock (in the UK) late evening on the 4th Jan. Next morning when I went online they were noted as unavailable again. I'm unsure whether this was a glitch or not, I'll have to give them the benefit of the doubt as I suspect many people are looking out for this product.
I am losing the enthusiasm I once had for this product and have begun to look at buying a standalone 5.1 amplifier to run the surround speakers from my TV's optical output. Certainly cheaper than using the Samsung method, more flexible too.
