Today I realized I could use ARC with my Samsung UN50H6350 TV and HW-K550 soundbar. Very late to the game!!! Everything seems to working great, except when I control the volume via the TV or the soundbar remote the new volume is displayed for a few seconds and then "TV ARC" is displayed on the front of the soundbar for another 25 seconds. This is extremely annoying... When using optical, the new volume would be shown for a few seconds and then the display would go blank.
I know this configuration is pretty old, so I may be out of luck and/or no one will care to help 
I do notice that there was an update released for the HW-K550 in September, but there are no release notes so I'm hesitant to update.
