Q990D no audio from HDMI 1 or 2 input - eARC still works (and Bluetooth)

I have a Q990D and there is no audio from devices plugged in to the soundbar via either the HDMI 1 or 2 input.  Video passes through to the TV from both inputs, but there is no audio that plays.  eARC audio from the TV works as expected for input devices plugged in to the TV directly (Soundbar is connected through the eARC HDMI port to TV).  

I have swapped input devices and cables to no avail.  I have unplugged the system for 2 minutes and tried again.  I have pushed the -+ buttons to re-INIT the system.  I have also downloaded the latest firmware, but it would not update as it displayed "LATEST VERSION" whne I plugged in the USB.

It was working fine yesterday, then today it stopped.  No idea.  The soundbar is only maybe 3 months old, purchased new.

I unplugged everything (including the TV) for 15 minutes then replugged in things again and it is working as epected.  No idea what happened.  My best guess is some eARC signal from the TV was stuck in "send" or...whatever, and the soundbar wouldn't play audio from it's local HDMI inputs?  No idea.

It seems that your device has the same issue as 1000's of the Q990D and others. The OTN firmware update "bricked" mine. The only solution is a new motherboard. Get onto Samsung support and raise a 'ticket'. I heard from Samsung UK repair today and the said part is out of stock due to the high demand. I have to wait another week to see if the part arrives, if it doesn't then I've been offered a refund or new unit. See my other posts regarding this.
