Hi @DiscoRed
Thank you for reaching out, and congratulations on your new JBL Flip 7 speaker! We understand how frustrating it can be when your music is interrupted due to automatic switching between connected devices.
The JBL Flip 7 supports multi-point Bluetooth connectivity, which allows it to connect to two devices simultaneously. However, it doesn’t offer advanced management of playback priority. This means when one connected device (like your tablet) becomes active, such as by being unlocked, the speaker may automatically switch its audio focus, even if music is currently playing from the other device.
Unfortunately, this is a limitation of how multi-point connections typically function on Bluetooth speakers, including the Flip 7.
Disconnect or turn off Bluetooth on the second device when not in use.
Manually connect the speaker to only the device you want to use at that moment.
Check your device's Bluetooth settings to see if there are priority settings or permissions you can adjust.
Update firmware for both your JBL Flip 7 and your Samsung devices (phone and tablet), if available, as updates sometimes improve compatibility.
We understand this isn't an ideal user experience and encourage you to share your feedback with JBL as well, since Bluetooth handling is determined largely by the speaker's firmware.
If you need assistance managing Bluetooth settings on your Samsung device, we're happy to help guide you through it.
