Q-Symphony issues on Samsung S95B OLED TV with Samsung Q930B Soundbar

Like the title says, I have a Samsung S95B OLED TV with Samsung Q930B soundbar. Soundbar is connected to the HDMI eARC port on both the Soundbar and the TV.

After the configuration, the TV gets connected through Wi-Fi on the soundbar and Q-Symphony plays through Wi-Fi instead HDMI-eARC. Please see the attached screenshot. It should say TV + Soundbar Q930B (eARC) instead of TV + Soundbar Q930B (Wi-Fi).

I see few users are having similar issues and did all the troubleshooting as mentioned in this thread: Q-Symphony played through Wi-fi instead HDMI-eARC

I have the latest firmware on both the TV (1503.8) and Soundbar (1010.0) and even reset it twice so far and no luck! Any ideas how to make the sound output go through eARC port instead of Wi-Fi? Thanks in advance for any and all replies!

PS: You would think that being Samsung TV and Soundbar it will play nice but it doesn't. Btw, I connected the Soundbar to a Sony X90CK and it plays very well with Soundbar on eARC port. I bought the Samsung S95B thinking that Q-Symphony will be better but it's being a pain so far!

Q Symphony - Simple Fix

Like many others, setup very frustrating. Soundbar first connected via wi-fi, and after failing with Q Sy, added a HDMI connection. Then:

On my TV, various common settings are accessed via a Settings sidebar icon. A linear array of common icons appears at the bottom of the screen, with Sound now offering 4 options - TV; S/bar (wi-fi); S/bar (HDMI); Optical [not relevant in my case]. Not the eagerly anticipated Q Sy of course, which is perhaps where many of us start to get annoyed! However, I found that this array does not include ALL available setting options - scrolling to the end revealed a final All Settings icon. Selecting this, and then the Sound option offered an expanded Sound menu, with the all important Q Symphony listed. I was able to choose between the wi-fi or HDMI connection I had already set up, and Q Symphony was finally there.

Its almost 2025, i just purchased 900d and s90d tv , also because of this so called great hdmi arc symphony possibility.. i got exactly your issue. Tried to fix it all night. Ive had it. This is pure nonsense programming. Why dont i see this in any reviews?? Im very upset and about to ask a full return which means a lot of hassle..

For completion of records, the above problem got resolved and the TV is now always connecting to the soundbar via HDMI-ARC.
