Issues with HW-Q90R and PC audio crashing

I have connected by Intel NUC 8th gen directly into the soundbar, and I've setup my PC with the Dolby Access app.

I'm getting Dolby Atmos sound OK, but I'm really pestered with what feels like driver related issues.

At random times my NUC will refuse to play audio until I turn the soundbar off and on again.

Trying to play YouTube it'll tell me I have an "audio renderer error", or it sometimes may try to play back video but it'll be in slow motion and no sound will come out.

I'm also getting the same across any other online streaming or videos. I have to restart the soundbar to get audio back.

While watching Netflix the app will randomly force quit, and error logs says

Faulting application name: mfpmp.exe, version: 10.0.18362.1, time stamp: 0xfdc096ed
Faulting module name: igc64.dll, version: 26.20.100.7529, time stamp: 0x5dccf93c
Exception code: 0xc00000fd

Is anyone else experiencing the same issues I am? I'm going nuts!

hi,

This does indeed seem to be a driver issue.

Running a nuc 8th-gen connected through an ONKYO-AVR and Dolby-Atmos will, if interrupted, stop working and video plays in slow-mo (youtube).

Switching to stereo and back to atmos will fix it, until it happens again...

Netflix, when using Atmos, will randomly have drops in sound using either app or web.

Kodi or MediaPlayer have no issues when playing Atmos...

I've been trying to solve this since 2018...
