I've just bought the SAMSUNG QE55Q90R television + HW-Q70R sound bar and getting terrible lip sync delay on some tv channels. If i listen to the tv through its own speakers there is no problem, but once I switch on the soundbar there is a terrible lip sync issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Guys, I've tried this and it has worked exactly as Garry06321(02-02-2020) has explained. However there is still a slight lag when viewing broadcasts through Sky Q, when viewing broadcasts through the terestrial aerial there is no sound lag at all and it switches to ARC. I'm still very dissapointed that I can't use ARC with Sky, after all that's partly the reason for buying the Samsung TV and Samsung Soundbar. I will write a letter of complaint to Samsung as, like you guys, they need to get this issue resolved, especially as it's been ongoing for a couple of years now. Maybe we just stop buying Samsung electronics and switch to another manufacturer when we next need to upgrade!

I used a 2.1 but it didnt fix the lip sync issue. I can't believe this is happening and not a lot of people complain or even notice. Samsung should really come up with a solution and provide firmware updates. They recommend to change the mode to PCM but that defeats the reason to have an expensive sound bar from the first place because PCM only uses 2 channel stereo. Did anyone find a solution? Is it gonna work with newer samsung TV?

Just purchased the Samsung Q90T and HW-Q70T and have discovered the sync issues mentioned on this thread.
Seems to be most noticeable on certain HD channels from the Virgin TiVo v6 box. Has anyone had any joy from Samsung acknowledging this and getting a fix?

I’m amazed that there has been such a lag with comments. I have now had the One Connect cable replaced, the main board in the One Connect box replaced and the main board in the TV itself replaced. Not only does the lip sync issue still exist but no matter what the engineers do, whichever device is plugged into HDMi3 cannot be selected from the tv menu. Buying this tv was the biggest mistake I have ever made with any technology. £1800 and I can’t mount it on the wall as I am presented with nothing but issues. At no stage have Samsung offered to replace the TV. I’m utterly disgusted
