HW-H751

I have had my sound bar for a good few years now. Still going like a trooper.

I would like to do a full factory reset on it.

I have read a few things on the net but am not getting any results as explained in them.

1 : Power off the sound bar with the black remote, press and hold the "Pause/Play" buttons for 5 seconds, some text will then come up on the front of the sound bar (can't remember what it's meant to say) and it will have reset.........This does not work at all for me. I get no text.

2 : Power off sound bar with black remote. Press and hold the Plus/Minus "volume" buttons together for 5 seconds....again nothing.

3 : Unplug sub and sound bar from mains for a few minutes then replug back it.

Not sure if this is doing anything.

So any help would be great.

Do I power the bar off. Unplug all HDMI leads connected to the bar then do any of the above?

I did it years ago and managed to get the text that's meant to come up on the front of the bar to indicate that it has reset but can't remember what I did.

If someone could say what to do in stages would be great.

Thanks for any replies.

@Negativepitch: In the user manual it says to press the Play/Pause button on the remote for 5 seconds to reset the TV SoundConnect connection. If you're doing this and getting no visual indication then you may have already removed all connections to your TV, and thus returned it to its default settings.

Yes I did this.

I also unpluged both the sub and soundbar from the mains for a while so you could be right.

Thanks for the reply

Hi.

No I gave up in the end.

I did it once years ago but could never do it again.

I had to disconnect everything as we were decorating.

I just left it at that.

Sorry I can't help.

You need to hold the "mute" button for 5 seconds for ID SET.
