Hi, I had the same problem. Tried fixing the pcb board and it didn't work. So I looked up the model number of the pcb board online and found a surprise match with online shop that was selling the boards at a fair price.

I took mine apart in the end, it's a nightmare as it'd glued, so opening it without damaging is really difficult. There is no need for them to do that, other than to lock you into some kind of maintenance scheme.
I couldn't fix it in the end, so I bought a Sonos and it is much better with no need for a separate sub woofer unit either... Will not buy another Samsung product again!

Great fix! I found the same problem on the power supply board of the subwoofer just a few millimeters below the area in your picture. After soldering back the joints it works perfectly.
Kudos to you for posting this fix!

Hi guys, I found a way to solve the issue:
The blue and red leds were blinking, and the ID SET manual steps were not working.
Until I turned off the connected TV and the sound bar, then, the blue leds is turned off and the red led stays on (without blinking).
That's when I performed the ID SET manually and then worked.
Note: Before performing the ID SET manually, I also connected the soundbar to my phone using Bluetooth, to avoid a connection to the TV, not sure if this step is necessary, but just in case
Hope this works for you. I have a soundbar hw-b55
