I have a HW-M450 soundbar, PS-WM30 subwoofer, and SWA-8500S rear speakers. All were working great but when I moved it to a different room, now they won’t connect because I can’t get the soundbar to display ID SET with the remote. I have turned the soundbar OFF, held down “mute”, I have held down “up”, I have tried EVERYTHING but I can’t get it to display ID SET. Both the subwoofer and rear speakers are blinking blue begging to be connected. How else can I get my soundbar to display ID SET? It doesn’t appear the soundbar has a manual button like both the subwoofer and speakers. The mute button works just fine on the remote because I’m able to mute the soundbar when it’s on.

I have the same problem and I've not been able to find a solution after hours of searching. The Mute and Up buttons just do not bring up the ID Set option. I've reset the sound bar with no issues following the same instructions and it still won't bring up the ID Set. Extremely frustrating that the components work, just not together like they should. Be really nice if a technician would actually review these boards and offer some insight instead of it just existing as a venting option.

Try the volume buttons on the TV remote. I was trying on the soundbar remote and it was never working which brought me to this frustration. Tried the TV remote and it worked. Also, try reaching out to Samsung on X. They were way more responsive.

Appreciate you response. I tried the TV remote as well and still no luck. I'll see what X does. Thanks.

Great news! So it would appear I was pressing the mute button too firmly. I noticed a partial click I suppose is the best description before being fully depressed so I left it there instead and eventually got the ID Set to show on the sound bar. I really hope this is useful to someone else with a similar experience and it is something that simple.

Personally, after 2 refrigerators that ice makers didn't work and froze up, numerous problems with sound bars including those expensive ones.
And a couple tvs (out of 6?) that had to returned and replaced.
Throw an expensive microwave installed on the, you could not read display, and had no manual over ride settings
Throw in those two sets of "smart washer and dryers" who won't stay smart unless you turn it Everytime ..
Samsung is junk
My problem currently, involves them losing one my tab S7+, and refusing to reverse charge.
Samsung is junk, and they are a half assed junk company.
Due to the Tab S10, filing Better Business bureau complaints, and possible small claims lawsuit.
10 years, yeah, I know a lot about how bad Samsung really is.

Hi Chiguy! I just came here to pay my respects and thank you SO much for your advice. I was about to throw the whole lot on the bin. Turns out that the light touch on the mute button was the issue here! Amazing! Thanks bro, appreciate you 🙏🏽 👊🏽
