I'm rather disappointed that despite relatively solid representation for Asian languages, that there's a glaringly missing omission in the form of Tagalog. I was looking forward to using this for my extended Filipino family and for whenever I get to visit. I appreciate they speak English but the same can be said about other supported countries.

It would mean so much if Samsung took it upon themselves to add this language to their live translate AI.

Hi @BritGeek

Can you also send this as feedback via your Samsung Members App so the right relevant department of Samsung can look at this.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@BritGeek: I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment surrounding the absence of your preferred language option in the Live Translate feature. It's early days at the moment, with 13 languages (17 regions) currently being supported. Additional languages will be added in future updates, so you may find that Filipino is included further down the line.

For clarity, the supported languages are as followed: Chinese Simplified, English (India, United Kingdom, United States), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), Thai, Vietnamese.

It is really sad that Samsung choose Thai and Vietnamese over Tagalog especially since there are more Filipinos in both South Korea and the United States (also Samsung's two biggest markets) than both Thai's and Vietnamese combined. Additionaly, there are more Filipinos globally than either Thai or Vietnamese. Samsung needs to do moe to pull in the Philippines instead of leaving them with cheap Chinese *****.

I also would appreciate it if Tagalog was included for download, do you know when this might happen? I have Philippino neighbors and I have difficulty communicating so the sooner the better  please!

Thanks,

Please notify us once Tagalog/Bisaya Philippine language is added to samsung live translate please. I will be getting married to my Australian Fiance this November and my Filipino parents could not understand Australian accents. I purchased new samsung flip 6 hoping the live translate feature can help them communication but with so much disappointment to know that Tagalog was not available to download..😔
