I am writing as a dedicated Samsung Galaxy user to kindly request the addition of Hungarian language support for Galaxy AI features, including Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, and other AI-powered tools.
Hungarian is spoken by more than 13 million people worldwide, not only in Hungary but also in significant communities across Europe and beyond. While I appreciate the recent expansion of Galaxy AI to support more languages, I noticed that several European languages have already been added — such as Romanian, Polish, and Swedish — yet Hungarian is still missing.
Adding Hungarian support would bring some key benefits:
Market reach and customer satisfaction – Hungary is an important market in Central Europe, and Hungarian-speaking users would greatly value the ability to fully use AI-powered translation and assistance in their native language. This would strengthen customer loyalty and attract new users.
Inclusivity and equal access – Supporting Hungarian ensures that Galaxy AI is not just a tool for major languages but truly a global platform that values linguistic diversity.
Competitive advantage – While some competing services have partial Hungarian support, Samsung could stand out by providing a high-quality, integrated AI experience for Hungarian speakers.
Hungary welcomes approximately 15 million international visitors every year, according to recent tourism statistics. Many of these travelers do not speak Hungarian and could greatly benefit from Galaxy AI features such as Live Translate and Interpreter when communicating with locals, reading menus, or navigating public services.
By adding Hungarian to Galaxy AI, Samsung would not only serve Hungarian-speaking residents, but also make the country more accessible for millions of non-Hungarian-speaking visitors — turning Galaxy AI into an essential travel companion in Central Europe.
I believe that including Hungarian in Galaxy AI would be a meaningful step forward, showing that Samsung listens to its users and invests in meeting their real needs.
Based on industry estimates, developing a high-quality Hungarian language package for Galaxy AI — including speech recognition (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and translation integration — would likely cost in the range of USD 0.8–1.8 million. This includes data collection, model training, integration, quality assurance, and ongoing updates.
From a business perspective, this investment could deliver a strong return:
Increased device sales – Even a modest 5% sales increase in Hungary alone could mean thousands of additional Galaxy S-series units sold annually. At an average retail price of around USD 1,000, this would generate several million USD in revenue.
Tourism market potential – Hungary receives over 15 million international visitors each year. Many do not speak Hungarian and could benefit from Galaxy AI features like Live Translate and Interpreter. If only 0.5% of these visitors are Samsung Galaxy users, and 20% of them decide to upgrade or purchase a new device because of this feature, that too represents millions of USD in sales.
