Like clockwork, the moment a new Watch OS update arrives after the release of the annual refresh of Galaxy smartwatches, my watch completely stops recording deep sleep. Was the same last year when I upgraded to the Watch 5 Pro with the new Watch One UI and the year before when I upgraded to the Watch 4 Classic. I find it very strange as its only an issue around about this time of the year, then I inevitably end up doing a full reset to fix the problem. Anyone else noticed this pattern? Here's some of my current sleep data to show what I'm talking about.
Hi RXM, sorry I have not got any solutions for you. I've got the 5 Pro and sometimes it registers no deep sleep, but the information says that the older you get there can be instances of no deep sleep or less deep sleep. Last week I had no deep sleep but the last couple of days I've had some. Not that I'm saying your old or anything like that!!!
After I downloaded Watch One UI 5 I done both a reboot and I cleared the cache partition. I could try both again it wouldn't be much of an issue and report back but I've got the feeling it may be a reset that's needed. Will report back in the next day or 2 👍
JK 🤪 Nah my deep sleep totals were pretty high on a consistent basis up until the update. Since the 12th I've had 29 mins total deep sleep. Then from then back to the 5th I've had just under 1hr of deep sleep in total but before the update I'd be getting that per night at least.
Yeah, the other thing that did cross my mind was whether the temperature sensor being activated was causing issues as it also coincides with my sleep data going all funky. I'll see if turning it off helps too.
