Unable to claim Galaxy Watch 6 due not not receiving S24 by deadline

I pre-ordered the Galaxy S24 Ultra  on 19th January 2024 and delivery date was 16th February but due to unprecedented demand I have no delivery date. I received several emails and the last saying we will update you in 10 days delay, that time is up in 2 days.  Due to this delay I will now miss the deadline to claim for the #Galaxy Watch6

Samsung should change the deadline of claimimg forthe #galaxy watch 6 due to the unprecedented 'orders' they had and the fact that many customers who pre-ordered are still waiting for their phone.  There is no way that my phone will arrive by 29th February (yes, it's a leap year), meaning I lose the promotion and it was the main reason I pre-ordered.   At the end of  the day, the  customer should not be penalised due to a company (the board) not taking into account the possibility of unprecedented demands, that is their fault not the paying customer.   Samsung should extend the deadline so that everyone who pre-ordered can claim the promotions that were offered.  I actually want Samsung to extend the deadline or give all the customers who missed out the cost of the watch as compensation (I know a big ask

I am also thinking of taking this to the Ombudsman if Samsung do not honour the promotion.

Anyone else going to miss the promotion deadline due to unprecedented demands?

Hey there

The original terms of the promotion required you to add the watch at the point of order for you phone. Then you wouldn't have had this issue.

But you are where you are. Please do a search on here for similar questions as there is an email address for the Promotions Team that you can reach out to. After all it isn't your fault Samsung have been overwhelmed by orders for the S24 Series.

Exactly, it wasn't my fault that Samsung have been overwhelmed with orders for the S24 series.

I'll search for the Promotion Teams email address and contact them.

You had to enter a promotion code on Samsung website (I'm assuming you ordered from Samsung).

Many of us did it without issue so it was there. I suspect in the excitement of ordering your new phone you missed the promotions bit.

I know it worked, I ordered day after Samsung Unpacked, ordered S24 Ultra, free case, free screen protectors, £50 off, free SGW6 and Strap all in one order.

I didn't order via Samsung, I ordered via Vodafone where I have my contract and I am still waiting for it to be delivered. I ordered it the day after it was unpacked too and got told I would have to wait 4 weeks for delivery, now it is 6 weeks and counting and no more updates as of yet.  I have searched for the Promotions Team email but cannot find it.  I sent an email via the claim section but got an automated email that doesn't help at all.

As you ordered via Vodafone, you'll need to reach out to them as they will be the promoter for your order.

Oh I did, they washed their hands off that, they weren't interested in that

I got compensation for delay but they wouldn't help on the loss of the pre-order promition

I know but he would not budge.  I managed to get £100 compensation for the delay but couldn't do nothing about the watch promotion. I had to fight for the £100 compensation but as soon as I mentioned Ombudsman he withdrew the compensation.  I proceeded to say oh that is about Samsung.  Someone is lying.

Sorry for butting in @Piper123 but you have just waited 3 weeks & 2 days up to today as you said you ordered on 19th January. Perhaps you should wait a few more days to see if your phone actually does turn up within the 4 weeks specified.
With regards to the Watch 6, I have just found that you you had to Pre-Order your phone (Any of the S24's) between 17th January- 25th January 2024 from a participating retailer & put in the Promotional Code of course in the Promo Code box.
I'm pretty sure, not 100% sure though, that the big Mobile phone retailers where all doing the Promotional because it was on the Product.
The issue may be of course that you did in fact miss out the promo code.
