Step count not matching

Been a user of Samsung Galaxy phones for quiet a few years now. Recently purchased a Fit 2 watch to help track steps and calories. However I'm finding that the watch step count is between 500-800 steps behind what the Samsung health app says I've walked despite the watch always being with me and the phone not. Anyone know what I can do?

My wife has a Samsung A71 and I have A53.  When we going walking together and cover the same distance we get two different readings of steps.  Sometimes the difference can be 500 steps. How can I sync so both phones record the same amount of steps?

Oh no. I was so excited with my samsung watch but now really disappointed. The whole point was for it to link up with my phone. Agh

I had this issue, I opened the wear app and disconnected and reconnected the device and steps updated in the health app.

My account on my phone is not accurate though I do deliveries so I'm literally holding my phone all day and I can't figure out why it's saying that I'm not walking but like half of what is I really am. An example is I went into Publix just now I went in with just under 700 steps which is totally not accurate being 1:00 and the afternoon but I walked into the store I went all way to the produce department I literally counted my steps on my own it took me a hundred steps to get from my car to the produce department I walked the whole store I didn't count any of those but when I got to my car I put all my groceries into my car and I walked to return the card it took me exactly a hundred steps to go from my car to the cart return and back. So that would be 200 steps alone not counting all the walking I did in the store I came out of the store with about 850 steps which should have been I don't even God only knows how many a lot but there's no way I did 250 steps when it took me 200 to get to the produce department and just return my card does anybody know what I can do or where I need to look and give me step by step directions on everything I need to do to check to find out why it's not accurate
