Hi

My Samsung Health App shows my sleep records all apart from Snore detection (I'm based in the UK , although you could hear me snore in other countries )

I think I've done all what is needed on app and plugged in the phone but in several months of using no snore detection or data ever recorded and just an message "No snoring Data because an app update during sleep".  Which is impossible as I've switch off all app updates because of this message.

I bought the watch as it was heavily marketed as having this snore/apnea detection feature - but didn't realise that it actually is either not the case (I general love Samsung products and don't expect them to missell) or it's somehow some more difficult than the instructions given

Appreciate your help

Hi.

On my watch 6 it gives a prompt that you need to open the health app atleast once a day.

For snoring phone needs to be on charger close to where you sleep.

Also make sure all app permissions are allowed and apps are up to date in both stores.

Hope this helps answer your query 😊

Thanks GoanGeek for replying so quickly

I open the App everyday and not that.  Also plugged in on charge on side table next to my bed so close.

Will double check the app permissions but thinks they're fine and will do another check on software update but again think they're OK too.  Seems silly that everything else on the watch/app appears fine - just not this feature

I could be wrong .

It could be your phone.

Also. People have had issues like yours even with the newer s24 series.

Probably some bug somewhere.

All I can say my watch 6 worked fine with my s24 ultra and now the s25 ultra.

I am always checking for app updates on both Google and Samsung store.

so i change to snore detection from "always" to "once only" - and this morning got this meesage "no snoring data because your phone restarted during sleep" which is odd as I have automatic restarts turned off.  It then says "opening Samsung Health after restarts will help ensure snoring data can be detected".  Seems odd some just get this to work and I can't. Also contacted Samsung Technical help yesterday, via webchat, and they were no help at all

no update - just cant get this to work at all, which is annoying but something will have to accept - I may disable all my apps on the phone and see if there's a difference

I've had basically the same problem for years on my S21 (also have a Galaxy Active 2 watch). Even though I've been through every kind of troubleshooting it never would do snore detection. I have all the permissions correct and the phone is on a charging stand next to my bed less than 2 feet from my head. Regardless of having everything set as it is supposed to be I have never once gotten snoring detection from Samsung Health.

Last week I upgraded to an S25 (still have the same watch) and I'm having the exact same problem. Although this time I have an extra annoyance I never saw on the S21 - I now frequently (a few times a day) get that Samsung Health notification saying, "To measure snoring during sleep, you need to open Samsung Health at least once." I never saw that message on my S21 and I can't get it to shut up on the S25. I've opened the Health app a few times today and I just got the prompt again, which eventually led me here.

I first suspected my watch, but snoring isn't dependent on it I don't think. I think it's Samsung Health because it won't import blood pressure data from my Omron monitor. I have checked many times and confirmed Omron and Samsung Health are connected. According to SH everything is fine, but it will not show my blood pressure and it never records snoring. This is across 2 Samsung devices, so unless I'm doing something very specific that isn't documented I'm at a loss as to what's going on.

I'm sorry this wasn't a solution, I just wanted you (and hopefully Samsung) to know it's more people than just you. And sometimes, while it doesn't solve the technical issue, commisseration can make everyone feel a little better!

I'm having the exact same issue, except I "upgraded" from active2 to watch4 and Note10+ to S24 Ultra. I used to snore detect all the time now I get the same silly excuses from the app, even if i do everything it states to a Tee i get nada. Please fix this issue samsung, it's one of the biggest selling points to having a watch in the first place.
