Same issue happened today with Galaxy Watch7. Did orienteering run and in 10 minutes I noticed, the manually started workout had ended. Started it again then. After the run I noticed that the second run was also stopped approx 10 minutes after start. Right after the second run, automatic "simple" run was initiated, which lasted till the end. Very very annoying, because I wanted to so route analysis afterwards.

I have a watch 6 and the same problem. The pro version is almost 3 times as expensive, not counting the additional phone line it needs.

Someone figured out a work around!!!! Finally! On your watch (not the wear app) go to settings then go to security and privacy. Turn off wrist detection. My watch has bot had this stupid notification pop up in almost 2 weeks! I was about to smash the stupid thing into oblivion. It records all my workouts without interruption now. You can turn wrist detection back on if you want but I just leave it off because I don't care about a lag in other notifications.

Hello! I have a similar problem on a galaxy watch 6 4G, when I start a bike activity it crashes after a few moment, i don't even have a message telling me that the training has stopped, it just goes back to the main screen of the watch and it stop. I figured out that the interval training is the cause of the problem, if I disable it, the activity will work well. It only happen on the bike activity, if I do a run activity there is no problem and the interval training works well.

I have the Same problem on my watch 4 and 6, Support can't help.
Will try the workaround with disabling wrist detection and If it won't Work, i'll send my 6 back to Amazon and throw my 4 into the bin.

Just switched to a Watch6 from a Watch5 and now every workout stops recording at some point. It has nothing to do with activity or heartrate as the very same watch is actively recording an above 150 hr while it's happening and there's plenty of physical movement.
So frustrating that years of workout data get completely ruined by missing days not being recorded properly, so now averages will never mean anything.

I have found a workaround which makes it work for me:
On your watch go to Google Play Store, look at your installed apps and find Health Services by Google LLC. Uninstall the updates of that app so you have an older version. For me everything works and i don't have this annoying stop of exercises. If it helps you disable automatic app updates for this app.
