I just got the new Samsung Galaxy 4 Classic. I have had it a little over a week now. My issue is it is putting a burn mark on my wrist where the sensor touches. I have my watch monitor all day to monitor my activity, heart rate, stress etc...

After a few days, my wrist started burning. (Please see the attached photos) I took the watch off for a few days and put on some coconut oil, and Epsom salt and it started to heal. What's left is a perfect circle that matches the very inner circle of the sensor.

This is very concerning to me as I wear normal watches every day and this does not happen. This seems like a laser issue with monitoring.

After two days of not wearing the watch and putting on treatment

already been in contact with samsung. told me they would reach out within 24 hours. For an issue like this, I find that unprofessional. There could be a major issue with you watch!

@samsung I have exactly the same problem. Same here, very concerned about this. Didn't have this with the GW3 (classic). Love the technology but its literally burning my skin. I worn a lot of metals on my skin and never had this before.

Hey

I have similar issue too. After using galaxy smartwatch 4 for 2 days (only taking off when charged and shower), then i  started to feel itchy and burned on my wrist where the sensor touches. Is there any resolution on this? Is it malfunction or rather sort of skin sensitive? I read actually many people has this issue

It seems to have a pattern. It's the device.

Do you have continuous heart rate monitoring turned on? Try to change to sample each x minutes.

I don't own one (Using Galaxy Watch R800), so I don't know if it's possible to change the settings.

Hey I got a similar issue. It doesnt feel hot or burns to be honest. I only have sleep tracking on and hearthrate all x minutes. But after some weeks I got a red area on my wrist. Its like a little bit bigger than the Sensor. I hope it can be solved I love the watch. My skin on my wrist just looks like it got older 🤔

Using the 44mm sports version

On the picture you can still see it a little bit. But its already old and not red anymore
