Samsung smart ring battery issues/disconnection issues

There's no solution for these issues, only replacement. I have an Oura smart ring, and I had the same issues for the first generation (and for the second also). My advice is to wait until the third generation, unless you want to waste your money like I did. I think that eventually Samsung will have a great smart ring. However, for now, Oura is much better.

This is my second bite at the Ring. As an Engineer (allegedly), such miniaturisation is amazing, but it does mean the likelihood of repair is ZERO.

Oura Ring LOL sorry £349 to £499 and then a £7 a month subscription and its own ecosystem with poor API to others, no thanks.

I respect your opinion. But the point is : Samsung knows for sure its smart ring would have issues in the first generation.  I have an Oura that presented the same issues until the third generation. I have another brand, the first to reach the market. Same issues. So Samsung should replace the device and no questions asked.

I have lots of Samsung stuff, smart Watch, cell phone (moren than one), tablet, earbuds, smart tags, smart ring, tv, wash machine, refrigerator, back up battery.

Right now, i'm wearing my Oura that works fine and  I don't pay any subscription because I was an early adopter.  Unfortunately my Samsung Smart ring is just a piece of defective technology

Each to their own buddy, there is never a right or wrong answer.

So what have Samsung said about your ring, in terms of why they won't repair it?

Surprised Oura honour no subs for early adopters GEN1 upgrading like you the the GEN2.

My first Galaxy Ring battery was easily a week. The currect is crazy good at 45% remaining after 7 days.

Thankfully, i have had zero issues with both and the current test unit, I'd say I have tested it way beyond normal operation, are like abuse and its flawless, not even a scratch, solid connection, find my Ring alerts are near instant.

Lastly, a general disclaimer: Yes, I have battered the heck out of the Galaxy Ring @SocietyGirl and @Lucy C has borrowed me, if it did fail I would be paying for it as my use has been abusive some would say 🙏geKbmccLeQ.jpg
