Can anyone help me with pairing my watch 7 to an external heart rate chest strap please.

I have been through the Samsung health app and the chest strap is showing as registered but not connected.

I have tried a few activities to see if it auto connects but so far I can not get it to connect

Thank you

Shaun

For those who couldn´t find a solution, this is what I did to have my activities with the chest strap imported to Samsung Health.

1 - Purchased an app called SportWerks (I´m not affiliated to it) -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.qooapps.sportwerks&hl=pt_BR
2 - Configured a Strava account in SportWerks options (it doesn´t work with google sign on, I had to create a Strava username and password to sign in and work)
3 - Connected my Strava account to Samsung Health, using Samsung Health app (three dots, configure, services, Strava)
4 - Connected my external chest strap to SportWerks (via Bluetooth Devices inside the app)
5 - Started an activity in SporWerks. After that, there´s a 'Diary' option on SportWerks where you can upload your activity. After being uploaded to Strava, the activity is automatically imported to Samsung Health, with all it´s data, HR, Time, Laps and GPS (assuming you used it).

What I liked most is that you can use any Fitness Sync to export data from Strava to anywhere you want.

If you need any help, my e-mail is katabroc@gmail.com, just mail me and I´ll be glad to help.

Cheers!

Samsung please update this feature! It's 2025, we all love your watches and this is a HUGE drawback in development.
Please get your R&D team to look into this if you haven't already! If you want to compete with the best, you simply have to strive to be the best. If I can pair my watch with my TV and see my heart rate on the screen, then how hard is it to collect data from a chest strap and send it to a watch screen?

It is infuriating, that Samsung doesn't add native supoort to external HRM. Hardware is capable, 3-rd party apps support it - but I want to see built-in running metrics (vertical, stiffness etc.) along more accurate HR readings! Samsung, it's an easy fix - do it.

I totally agree. While there´s not oficial solution, that´s the best I found to work with.
And when I ordered my watch, I ordered a chest strap, thinking it would certainly work.
But then I had this distasteful surprise.
Anyway, I didn´t have to return the strap, since there´s this workaround.

Did you have trouble with sportwerks disconnnecting from strava and strava disconnecting from samsung health? I have to re-establish strava to both apps every time I want to log a workout to samsung health
