notifications and messages to samsung wearables from application server

I am a newbie and I need to know if it is possible to send alert messages to wearbles connected to internet from our application server in order to alert users that certain tasks are due or overdue?

Is it possible to target specific wearables based on a user account or id with samsung knox or similar sdks?

I would have thought that if the alert can be sent as a text / mms message to one or more users then yes, as long as they have a wearable that is compatible. Without a compatible phone the wearable would have to have 4g to receive the text notifications.
