MapMyRun Active 2 Not connecting

I just changed phones, from a Pixel 3 to a Samsung S20. I had no problem connecting MapMyRun with the pixel. However, connecting the Active 2 has been problematic overall.

 

MapMyRun on the watch keeps telling me to login in the phone . I am logged in. I log out and login. Nothing. I've deleted and reinstalled the watch app.

 

All apps and O/S are current. 

 

Inside the phone app, I see Samsung Health and other apps or devices. I don't see anyway to connect the watch .

I have solved the issue by installing mid 2021 apk version of mapmyrun on the galaxy note ultra 5g combined with the latest version from galaxy store available for the watch. Let me know if you still need solution, I will share the apk.

Same for me, is not working with my new galaxy S20 phone but was working fine with my previous phone.  Keeps telling me to install mapmyrun on my phone.  Anybody can help ?

I can confirm this is a feasible solution.

 

I have also downloaded an older version (from June, just search on Google) and it opened up nicely! The issue is not on the watch app, it's one the phone app.

Install mid 2021 version of mapmyrun on the phone, connect to the watch. Update after.

Worked perfectly, AUG 2021 apk version installed (via apkmirror) and then it finally worked.  Pixel 6pro Android 12

just installed version 21.12.1 on my Samsung S20 phone and it finally works with my watch.

also the version "Map My Run by Under Armour 21.10.0." from MirrorApk is usable and functional (S21U + Samsung Gear 3)

I opened a ticket with Under Armour.  They said this is being investigated.  They refused to give me a "legit" way of installing a previous version of MapMyRun on my phone even if they know all this is caused by a bad update of their app.  I am disappointed of Under Armour.

I have a workprofile and can not install external APK:s. I need Under Armour to fix the bug in the newest release. Anyone else been in contact with them regarding this? Are they doing anything.   Bad for bussiness for them to ignore..

Gee, I wonder if Samsung is knowingly, purposefully and with malice trashing MapMyRun.  Just wondering as there is nothing from Samsung as to why only their apps work.
