Reshaping the smartwatch experience, the Galaxy Watch4 & Galaxy Watch4 Classic are the latest innovation in wearable tech.
Put your health & wellness in your hands (and on your wrist) with Samsung's most advanced suite of features yet. The ground-breaking BioActive Sensor uses a single chip to precisely run three powerful health sensors — Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. Now you can monitor your blood pressure, detect an AFib irregular heartbeat, measure your blood oxygen level, and, for the first time, calculate your body composition.
The all-new Body Composition measurement tool provides you with a deeper understanding of your general health and fitness, with key measurements like skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body water and body fat percentage. Check your body composition easily from your wrist with just two fingers, and in about 15 seconds, your watch’s sensor will capture 2,400 data points.
Stay in touch and keep up with your goals by enjoying Group Challenges with your friends and family, or set up a home gym by connecting your Galaxy Watch4 to your compatible Samsung Smart TV, where calorie counts and heartrate metrics appear on screen. When you’re ready to rest, the Galaxy Watch4 series offers the most complete picture of your sleep patterns yet, going more in-depth than ever before. Your phone detects the sound of your snores, while your Watch measures your blood oxygen level while you sleep. Together with advanced Sleep Scores, you can learn more about your sleep patterns to get the rest you deserve.
Wear OS powered by Samsung pairs perfectly with the brand-new One UI Watch for simplicity, ease, and innovation. Compatible apps are automatically downloaded to your Watch when added to your phone, and important settings - like Do Not Disturb hours and blocked callers- are synced instantly. Partnering with Google on Wear OS Powered by Samsung means that a whole host of brilliant apps are now available on your wrist- we're talking Google Maps, Google Pay, Adidas Running, Calm, Strava, and Spotify. Auto Switch ensures your Buds can seamlessly toggle audio between your phone and watch, depending on your usage.

You should be getting more than 8 hours battery life. Sounds like a faulty unit. I'm getting about 18 hours since the latest software update....before I was getting about 24 hours. Bah!
And yes, it's really annoying some health readings come out in Km even though I have app set to miles. Like...notification that you're half way through a run will come as km....but the end of the run will be in miles as set.
I'm presuming it's a software problem that will be fixed.

I had to charge mine 3x/day until I disabled some of the cool features.

So it's not just me.
Next run, open the Samsung Health app after you start and monitor it there instead of the app you use to start. Very clunky, but it worked for me

I'm getting much better battery life after setting the heart rate to no longer be every 30 seconds

Just got mine and what a disapointment there is no Tidal in it..only spotify? Any chance Tidal is coming or should i just return this watch..

A quick Google would have told you that Tidal is not available on Wear OS. It's not Samsung's fault, complain to Tidal!

Me too. Samsung needs to encourage developers to get developing for the Watch 4. Would be good if the big watchface developers for Tizen were helped to port over.
The watchfaces available in the Play Store for Watch 4 are pretty bad and not very functional, like shortcuts and widgets.

Oh dear. I've gone back to using my Galaxy Watch 2 and put my new Watch 4 away for a bit to wait for software updates that might improve it. Battery life is less than 24 hours, watchfaces are nowhere near a good as the selection for Watch 2 and it's generally less easy to operate. The only thing I miss going back to Watch 2 is Google Maps turn by turn navigation. Apart from that, a bit underwhelmed by the Watch 4 😞
