Try resetting your watch, but first make sure to back up any of your data, reset it, set it up with your phone again and it should work, as long as your watch and phone are both connected to Bluetooth, if they are connected remotely through WiFi, then they won't sync as well and messages and notifications will be late to come through on your watch.
