I have a Galaxy S23 Ultra paired with a Galaxy Watch6 classic and since the latest November software update (phone) my watch keeps disconnecting
It is very annoying, support weren't able to find out anything wrong said to send the watch for repair but I am about 95% sure it is a software issue.
I have factory reset both my phone and watch and it still happens.
Since the S23 software update I see google play services wasting so much battery too, to the point that the phone gets warm. I have reset all of its cache/data, turned off auto-app updates, nothing helps.
The watch might be connected for a day then it just drops, if I go and kill google play services app it connects immediately. All my other bluetooth devices work ok on the phone.
Anyone got any any permanent fixes for this?

Hello.
Hmmm, thats a weird situation. Maybe try to update Google Play Services?
Or try to contact Google. This might be a bug on their side making it unable for your watch to connect.

No I didn't but a factory reset should have resolved it.
However maybe I had some "bad settings" and when I restored from back up in samsung cloud they got applied again making the "reset" useless.
I don't get why killing the service makes the watch connect instantly though, it can work for a few hours then I have to kill it again, very annoying.

Had similar problem when moving from Watch to Watch 6. For whatever reason Watch 6 manager (plugin) only disabled, not replaced original Watch plugin. So I enabled watch plugin, uninstalled it from the phone and it seems to have resolved the issue.

Not for me, every time anything uses google play services on the phone it disconnects my watch, have to go in and kill play services and it reconnects.
A joke to have to do this for a phone/watch combo that costs over €2000
Samsung support were beyond useless, told me to raise this with google, as if that's even possible.

Same exact situation happened to me down to the goggle play service wasting my battery. I just returned watch to bestbuy. The whole situation was a headache. Seems only to happen with 23 Ultra
