Google Pay on Watch6

Has anyone had success paying with Google Pay on GW6?

I have mine set up just like I did with my GW4, but first contactless transaction I tried failed multiple times. Watch had an error (big red exclamation), something like software does not meet requirements. Transaction worked fine via my phone.

I did have a Google Pay app update pending. Could that have been the cause?

I've used it a few times on my w6classic with no issues

Good to know. Maybe the pending update was the cause. I had Samsung Health running also (that I think can use NFC ). Maybe one of those two the cause, although I would be a little surprised if either the problem, I would have hoped more robust.

Payment via phone was OK and used GW4 at that particular retailer before, so a bit surprised I had an issue.

I'll try it again soon.

Did the card connect to ur bank when setting up the card on the watch

Seemed all OK during setup and got email confirmation from my bank.

I tried again today and it was OK.

Just set up Google wallet on GW6C with no issues (mix of banks) and used it to pay no problem

I will have Samsung Health tracking a walk again next time I pay, it was either than or the pending Google Pay update that prevented the transaction it seems.

I made a transaction earlier with Samsung Health tracking my walk, so my initial issue must have been due to the pending Google Pay update. I am surprised it prevented the installed app working, but seems to be the case.
