Hello

I own the bluetooth w5 pro. I'm interested in getting the 6 classic. 47mm

1) i went to the Samsung shop in London and was told that the GPS have been removed from the 6 series is this true.?

2) Samsung website and tech specs elsewhere is saying that GPS is still there but that Samsung removed the workout tracking feature from their software.

3) is it an upgrade in terms of the fact that the pro has a titanium case while the 6 is stainless steel.

4) does the lte version work without an eSIM just as bluetooth if you wanted (can the lte modem be disabled)

Gps has not been removed as far I read. I am personally keeping my GW5 Pro because battery is better than the GW6

Others have posted about the gw6 on the forum search for it

I'm not so sure about that battery comment. Yes in terms of MAH it's less, but also gotta remember that the chioset is newer and there is sometimes huge improvements in chipset generations

I don't think the GPS has been removed, now I would say stainless Steel is not an upgrade over titanium, the 5 Pro is for people who live a rugged lifestyle like climbing etc.

I was at the unpacked event and spoke to various Samsung managers, the classic gets upgraded every 2 years and the pro gets upgraded every 2 years, so next year the 5 pro will be upgraded and in 2025 will see a new classic. Yes you can use the lte version without an esim like a normal Bluetooth version. I hope this helps, I am torn between keeping my 5 pro or upgrading to the 6 classic, both are great.

Well, I never had a classic, and the 5pro was my first Samsung watch, with all the discounts and offers I was able to get the 5pro for only £120 and now the 5classic for £180 so I will keep both for a while. The 5 pro is nice I get like easily 3-4 days out of one charge etc.

Went with BT again as I have read horror stories about LTE version battery and overheating issues even when LTE is off.

Let's see.

The watch 5 Pro has GPS route tracking. The watch 6 does not.

So you saying, i can't use the "outdoor walk option and then have a map show which roads I walked on?" if that's the case samaung is lame. It's a software feature not a hardware feature.
