I recently upgraded to to the Samsung watch 6, the sleep function fails to record sleep often. For example I went to bed about 10.45pm and put the watch on sleep mode so didn't activate apps while sleeping. Woke this morning around 9.35am, I did wake twice during the night but very briefly, the my watch and Samsung heth is only saying I slept 1 hour 15.min.
The watch is securely fastened in the right place and in the same wrist I gave used for years . The isn't the first time it's happened. It's now messing up my sleeping stats. Anyone else have this issue? Did you fix it?

Yes I have the same issue it very seldom tracks accurately I've had my watch for 6 months and had a golf pro prior it wasn't a great watch I thought this one would be better. I don't think I'll be buying another Samsung watch.

I also have problems with the sleep tracking. It's wildly inaccurate. I've had nights of little or no sleep at all, and it tells me I slept 5 or 6 hours. I have many times had large gaps of time in the middle of the night where it doesn't track anything at all. I've had nights where I slept well and had plenty of REM sleep (that I remember) and it tells me I got 10 minutes of REM sleep and 3 or 4 hours of total sleep. I've tried every help technique I can find, including sleep mode, ensuring a snug fit, etc. It's been like this since I got the watch. Just terrible.

I'm sad to report that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is the same. When I heard it had improved health monitoring sensors I pre-ordered it. I slept for 6 hours last night and it only recorded 1 hour.

I will be returning it.

exactly the same for me. even when i get up to go to the bathroom it records me as asleep. pretty useless. prefer to just turn off sleep tracking completely.

Same problem here. Had my watch 6 for 2 months and worked ok but last 2 weeks it has missed data 3 times. Happens after charging the watch. Includes heart beats and stress too. When manually measure the heartbeat, it starts collecting data again. Annoying. Samsung, please fix it ASAP.

I had Galaxy Watch 1 and upgraded to Galaxy 6 thinking the sleep recording would be better and they are both as bad as each other. Really bad forking out all that money and still faulty!!!

Have to agree the sleep tracking is useless. It often has large gaps in data in the middle of the sleep. I wonder what the watch thinks is happening for hours? Looks like it just gave up then decided to track again. Watch is snug on arm and up the wrist..

I've had the 6 Classic for a while now and it was great with sleep tracking and picking up shorter naps on the day

Occasionally it would get it wrong, but not by much

A couple of weeks ago I got software update notifications for both phone and watch. I reviewed what they were,  felt they looked OK, so updated both

Since then I've had issues with sleep tracking, as others have described, late starting, tracking only after I've got up in the middle of the night, or stopping when I get up

I've also noticed the activity tracking has stuffed up too, it stops randomly in the middle of an activity, doesn't start after the 3 second countdown, overstates distance (i actually like that one) understates distance (not so keen on that one) and occasionally locks so can't be stopped

I've also seen it doesn't sync to the phone after activity for all stat's, so the other day I had about 4000 steps (should have been in excess of 10000) 4km, but had 7.5km active. Next day steps were updated to 8000, still under, and after a reboot of phone and watch, as suggested in another forum, steps dropped to 5000, but all other stats looked reasonable

I'm also funding the 3 coloured heart often is 0 on all 3, or seems to rest later in the day on watch, but seems OK on phone

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it (or was 😁)
