Galaxy Watch 5 PRO stops recording run exercise in the middle of training

When I'm recording a run, sometimes my training stops, without any prompt or notification. It happens usually when I get notification about daily target completed or Inactive Time Alert (which is weird cause I'm in run).
It's veeery annoying cause it usually happens durning some of exercises from Samsung Health Training Programs so I have to start training from the begin to have it marked as completed... (or add fake training manually and remove it later but it's ugly workaround) and because of that my training it's not fully recorded, it's cut at some point and I have no information about VO2 max and advanced run parameters in this record.
I have Samsung galaxy Watch5 Pro for about 1 month and it happened already 3 times...

Try putting on the water lock. It has helped me when my running gear has interfered with the watch face

I am currently experiencing the same issue with my Galaxy Watch 4 where it randomly stops workouts. Despite attempting to reset the watch and clear the cache partition, the problem persists. It consistently halts my workouts after approximately 15-20 minutes of running, which is quite frustrating.

I've had the same problem on my galaxy watch 5 LTE. Device randomly stops tracking my run around the 1 km mark. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

same here. Has only happened over last 2 weeks. Every second walk just stops after about 40 minutes.

Hey @Samsung

Are you planning to do anything with this? It is quite easy fix just let the user decide to stop the workout. I have tried everything that I can think of, reset, factory reset, switching off auto pause, switching to manual workout start, adjusting the strap, nothing worked so far.

Regards,

Mike

Try water lock. As soon as the exercise starts after countdown. Swipe down and to left and water lock manually. Shouldn't have to really but it's worked for me!

I have the same issue, I start running or lifting weights and it just stops at any time, even I after I set a pre-established time for the exercise. Incredible annoying as everything with this watch. Not sure what is pro about this piece or garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH. This is why I always found my self regretting buying Samsung products.

  • Hi, I think I found a solution for this issue. Disable Samsung health notification: step, activity and calories count in the Samsung health apps. The setting is under: galaxy wear-watch settings-app notification, it worked for me so far. It is a shame Samsung keep ignoring it.
