Galaxy Ring over counting steps

I recently started using the galaxy ring and since using it noticed that it appears to be wildly inflating my step count daily.
I have a watch ultra as well and for the same day to day walking when I just had to watch was much lower than what is it now with the ring.

I've noticed on samsung health you can change the source of your steps and if I change it to just my phone its far far lower.
However, there isn't an option to change it to my watch ultra. My old watch, gear 2, is there but I don't have that anymore. It says there's no double counting but it definitely feels like there is!

And suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah I still have my old Galaxy Fit2 as the other option for steps. Haven't used or connected to it in years
