I just found a very nasty bug on the Fit 3. I just got it a week ago. I already have a galaxy watch 5 (my 3rd galaxy watch in fact). But I used to use the Mi band for sleep tracking.
Anyway, I usually create a few alarms on the band to wake me up in teh morning depending on the. So, I did that on the Fit 3. For 3 consecutive days, the alarms did not go off. When I check the band, I do not find any of the alarms. I created an on band alarm, as I do not want the alarm to depend on the phone (battery may die).
So, I did alot of experiments to know what is the problem. I found that when the band loses the BT to the phone and reconnects immediately, the alarms disappear, and sometimes the band crashes and reboots. I am talking about flapping BT connection. When the phone is on another room and I am walking around the house. If i go away and the BT stays off for a few mins, this does not happen.
I even turned off the alarm notification on the phone to rely only on the on band alarm, but this did not help.
My phone is Galaxy S21. All softwares are up to date.
If you have any workaround to avoid this please tell me. Also, advise how can i report this bug to Samsung officially?
Update(jul. 29):
After keeping it on aeroplane mode for a day, i connected it to the phone again. Astonishingly, the BT flapping didn't crash it or removed the alarms for a day now

The only work around I found for now is to set the Fit3 to airoplane mode, and connect it to the phone only when I want to sync to Samsung Health.

I sent to Samsung and all they said was rezet it, otherwise go to a service centre. I waiting to do that.

Have you found any solution to this issue?
Or is the work around still to have it in flight mode?

Hello. Aeroplane mode is definintely a solution, but it is not practical. The problem occurs when the band tries to connect to the phone. It sometimes crashes, and reboots. When this happens the alarms are lost.
But I found that if you set the alarms, and shutdown the band and restarts it, those alarms are not set and will not disappear if the band crashes later.

I also have this issue.
If the fit3 is power cycled, manually or via a crash, it seems to lose all settings, including the alarms. Ideally, Samsung would fix it so the settings are maintained, but as an alternative fix, they could include alarm settings in a backup. If you backup your fit3 to your Samsung Account using the "Wear" app you can restore all settings EXCEPT alarms are not currently included in the backup (at least not for me from my testing). Tested Jan. 18, 2025.
Sumsung, please fix.

Hi,
For me if i power cycle the fit 3 manually, all is preserved, even the alarms. So seems yours is even worse. I asked samsung and they confirmed that the alarms are not backed up. I don't know why so. It would not cost much to back them up.

I have the same problem, fit3 lost all alarms already two times. Samsung please fix this bug asap.

I experience the same behavior. A software update would be highly appreciated.
