I've read proper threads in this forum but have no solution. So, I would to ask Samsung again how to solve this issue

Ones more about the problem:

I've bought Samsung galaxy watch 4 LTE. And I am trying to copy my Google account into my watch through the Galaxy Wearable application. But I am receiving the following error: "Couldn't copy your google account". My smartphone is Redmi 9C.

I do the following

1. I tried to clear cache from

a. all Google application

b. Galaxy Wearable

c. Galaxy watch4 plugin

2. Reset my watch

3. Add to my phone another Google account.

4. Switch off WiFi during probe to setting up my Google account into watch

But always received the same error: "couldn't copy your google account

Please, can you specify what can I do to resolve this error.

I'm having this issue too on my end. Did you by any chance change the permissions of scroogle play services on your Smartphone? I'm think that might be what's causing it...gonna fiddle around with it and see.

- EDIT -

Not sure which part of the following fixed it, but here's what I did, and it finally worked after all the fiddling around:

  1. Backup your Smartwatch! This process involves re-pairing with the SamrtWatch
  2. On my Smartphone (Note 8), I navigated to the following location and uninstalled Google Play Services update:
    • Settings > Apps > Open Overflow Menu ⁞ > Select "Show system apps"
    • Scroll Down Apps List to G > Select "Google Play Services" > Open Overflow Menu ⁞ > Select "Uninstall updates"
    • NOTE: This Will Disconnect Your Smartwatch from Your Smartphone
  3. I then went into the Play Store and re-updated Google Play Services
  4. Rebooted Both Smartphone and Smartwatch
  5. Notice the Devices no Longer Connect. Went into Smartphone Bluetooth Settings > Unpaired Smartwatch > Reinitiated the Pairing with Smartwatch (Note: This Resets the Smartwatch, Can't Proceed Without the Reset)
  6. During the Setup Process (Denied Scroogle Cloud Connect, Usage Shearing, AND Location), at the "Getting Google Account" screen, this time, I proceeded with adding my Scroogle Account there and then (earlier, I wanted to first Setup and Secure the device without anything Scroogle, then later add my Scroogle Account). It prompted for my scroogle account password and successfully copied over my scroogle account.
  7. Restored my Backed-Up Smartwatch Data
  8. All up and running :smiling-face:

After successfully adding my scroogle account, went into app settings on Smartwatch to disable all unwanted permissions for each app. No issues thus far. Hope that helps.

Please help. It just never does anything when "copying" the Google account. This device is pretty much useless 😞 Terrible user experience for such an expensive device

I have the same issue and have tried everything for two weeks now.  Only one Google account, reset countless times, tried Google setup through both my LG phone and watch.  I'm upgrading from Active 2 watch where some apps started to crash.  I'm getting ready to send my watch back to Samsung.  Their service SUCKS!!

Hello Samsung,

This is quite disappointing that a company like you is not taking care of the customers issues, customers keeps on complaining from few weeks or month but still no solution of problem, are you giving us an option to swith to some other brand ?

Galaxy watch 4 classic is not connecting to google account, this is a major issue and it has to be resolved as soon as possible, but still no updates regarding this issue uploaded.

I think you're customer care is sleeping & sorry that I tried to wake you up.
