Can I use google pay on a Galaxy Watch if my phone doesn't support it

I am planning to by a Galaxy Watch4 which means I want to know what I am buying but something that I am concerned about is if I can use google pay or any contactless payments if my phone doesn't have NFC or support it. Galaxy Watch4

Hi @ShadowGamerIK. NFC isn't required on your phone for the NFC to work on the watch. Which phone do you have though?
