Activating card on Watch6

Hi,

I'm trying to activate a card on Watch6 through Samsung Wallet and it's just not happening. 

The card works on my phone but when I try to activate it on my watch I get a message that says "watch is not responding, please try again"

The watch is connected to my phone. When I try to add a card to wallet on watch it opens to app on my phone correctly. 

I've tried clearing the Wallet cache on my phone. 

It's odd, this was all working fine on my Watch4. 

Has anyone got any ideas?

Sometimes this can happen because you have registered your card on too many devices (including old devices that you no longer have or use) the banks have a limit. Once it happened to me so I contacted my bank and they checked their systems and my debit card was registered on 30 devices so while I was on my phone call the bank went through each one starting with the oldest deleting each device manually. 10 apple pay, 10 Google pay, 10 Samsung pay. It could also be that your card doesn't work on your watch? Also check how your watch is connected with your phone? WiFi? Bluetooth?

Thanks. That's useful. I'll check the number of devices but as it's a replacement that I got two weeks ago I'm pretty confident it's not that widespread.

I hope it is compatible with the watch as it's a Samsung card. If they don't work then there's a bigger problem

As an update I now get a different error that says

"Something went wrong

Try again "

I was getting this on my fold 5 and watch 6. I contacted support and they said it's not currently available yet, but an update is forthcoming! So I've gone to Google wallet I told it's sorted. Such a pain.

I was thinking of that but the Samsung pay card doesn't allow contact less payment with Google Wallet so I'm a bit stuck

My update on this

Still no way to activate a Samsung Pay card on Watch6.

I thought I'd give Google wallet a go but that doesn't support Google Pay.

So, no way to make payments with my watch.

Another update on this

Samsung pay still does not accept a Samsung pay card. After three months the Galaxy6 doesn't have the same functionality that the Galaxy 4 had. I do wish I'd never bought this now. The old one was fine

Somewhat unbelievably, after the Watch update today I can finally add cards to Samsung Wallet

It took almost 4 months but we got there in the end
