I have recently moved from the Watch5 Pro to the Watch6 Classic.
On the Watch5 I used Samsung Pay. When launching the app and making a payment, there was no need to turn NFC on/off as this was done automatically - safe and convenient. You simply launched Samsung Pay, selected your card and paid.
I now find on my Watch6 that when using Samsung Pay (actually it's now Samsung Wallet) I have to manually turn NFC on/off. When I launch the app Pay by long-holding the 'back' button, I get a screen message that says 'Turn on NFC to Use Samsung Wallet', followed by an NFC and contactless payments on/off toggle. I then have to go back and re-launch the app to select my card and pay.
Has anyone else come across this?
Samsung has said that this is a fault and are offering to replace the watch, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has either experienced this or has knowledge of whether this is a fault or just a change in the design of the process.
