Can't activate new Curve card in Galaxy Watch 5

My previous card expired and have been able to update details with no issues on my phone however when trying to validate my card for Samsung Pay on my watch, I get as far as validation and then keeps saying "Failed to connect to card issuers server". I seem to have had this with each new watch and sure there is something simple to resolve but trying to get a timely response from Curve support is awful. I have tried "add new card" and tells me that already registered. Have tried importing the card as its in the list but I then get the above issue

I managed to but only by seeking the help of Curve support. If remember correctly, had to delete the card in question from Samsung Pay on watch and phone to get it sorted
