Voice search on YouTube app

My voice search through the remote mic in YouTube has stopped working. Anyone else experiencing the same issue. Tech support were not able to solve. Thanks

@AOK22, What about other voice functions ? Bixby works ok?

@AOK22, I think it is bug in Samsung firmware or YouTube app. There's one workaround that should work. You can check this.


1. Enable Hi Bixby command in TV settings
2. In YouTube app click on-screen microphone button
3. Say Hi Bixby and then your search pharse

Thanks Kamil, I switched to Bixby but it doesn’t function at all. Just says it’s loading when I press and hold the mic button on remote.

@AOK22, Don't use microphone button on remote. On remote click OK button while you on microphone icon in YouTube app. This icon should be near text search field.

Thanks Kamil, when I do that it instructs me to press and hold the mic button on the remote. This is what I did until it stopped working.

I've done everything that tech support suggested, such as resetting tv, repairing remote, restarting router, reinstalling youtube app, etc. 

As I said, it worked perfectly by pressing and holding the mic button in youtube search but stopped all of a sudden.

When you see this notification don't press any button. Just say Hi Bixby and then say your search pharse.

 

This is the only known for us workaround at this moment. Not only you and me have this problem. For me this is clearly software bug.
