Unversal/Smart Remote 2021 number key and Sky Q

I have a 2021 Frame 65 and a Sky Q box (Cisco E130).

I can set up the remote perfectly, and almost all the keys work fine.  But I cannot get the colour/number key to work on my Sky Q box.  The key works fine on the streaming apps, but not on the Sky Q box.  And since Sky insists on PIN codes for all post watershed recorded programmes, this renders the Universl Remote useless for Sky Q.

Has anyone found a workaround for this?
